The technology is increasingly present in all sectors, one of the most benefits from this tourism.A clear example is the initiative of the Foundation Santa Maria la Real, by which it will use the Augmented Reality technology to create a travel guide for mobile phones, thanks to which the user can visit the so-called Latin countries, territories covering part of Burgos, Palencia and Cantabria.

This application, Country Romanesque Mobile terminals can be used in phone and Android, and it is a project funded by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Centre for the Development of Telecommunications in Castillo y Leon and Latin countries.

According to the Foundation with this project can get “a qualitative improvement in the tourist experience, which will result in the repetition of the visit and a further boost cultural tourism.”

They have also said that thanks to the use of this guide, users can know all the details of your journey and can orient themselves and giving additional data through a combination of GPS and compass with the camera.
